1. Introduction

Welcome to WelcomeBook (“we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the WelcomeBook platform, including our website, dashboards, and guest pages (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

2. Definitions

  • Host: A registered property owner or manager using the platform to create Welcome Books and manage guest information.
  • Guest: A visitor who accesses a Welcome Book link shared by a host.
  • Welcome Book: A digital guide created by a Host to share property details, Wi-Fi information, access codes, and local amenities with Guests.

3. Eligibility & Account Responsibility (Hosts)

To use the Host dashboard, you must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a legally binding contract. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Platform Use & Content

  • Hosts agree to provide accurate and lawful property information.
  • Guests agree to use any access codes or data provided only for their stay period and not to share it publicly.
  • We reserve the right to remove or suspend any content that violates these Terms or applicable laws.

5. Data Security & Privacy

Your information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Hosts are responsible for ensuring that any personal data they share via the platform complies with applicable privacy laws.

6. Payment & Subscription (if applicable)

Hosts may purchase paid plans or add-ons via integrated payment providers such as M-PESA. All payments are non-refundable except where required by law.

7. Intellectual Property

All materials, software, and designs provided by WelcomeBook remain our property. Hosts retain ownership of their own content (property details, photos, rules) but grant us a non-exclusive license to display it as part of the Service.

8. Prohibited Activities

  • Misuse of access codes, Wi-Fi credentials, or guest data.
  • Uploading harmful, obscene, or infringing content.
  • Attempting to hack, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

WelcomeBook provides the Service “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms. Upon termination, access to any stored Welcome Books or guest links may be removed.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect once posted on this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
